Trauma Therapy Intensives
Resourcing ✹ EMDR ✹ Brainspotting
We offer trauma therapy intensives to fit each client’s individual needs. Our intensive offerings consist of a single, or sometimes multiple half day “deep dive” therapy sessions. Clients can schedule a 3 or 4-hour EMDR or Brainspotting intensive if they are already familiar with experiential trauma therapy. For clients with complex trauma presentations or those who are newer to trauma therapy, a resource intensive offers a helpful starting point. All intensives are adapted for those who are neurodivergent and/or affected by chronic illness.
The goal of a resource intensive is to create the sense of safety and security needed to engage in experiential trauma processing. Through exploration of nervous system states, parts work, and emotion regulation skills, clients can learn to manage overwhelm/shutdown and feel ready to engage in trauma processing with greater confidence. The intensive format also avoids the “stop-and-start” of weekly therapy sessions for clients who are eager to find relief.
While EMDR and Brainspotting intensives also include resourcing work, some clients need a bit more time to engage in the preparation phases of experiential trauma work. We recommend scheduling a resource intensive as preparation for an EMDR or Brainspotting intensive if you feel fearful of trauma processing, get overwhelmed more easily, need extra time to recover from emotional experiences, struggle with body sensations, or have difficulty with separating the present moment from past trauma.
All intensives are offered at the same 3 and 4-hour rates ($200/hour). If you have questions about which type of intensive may be right for you, we are happy to discuss options and identify the best treatment plan for your goals.
