Kathryn earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca University. As an associate counselor and registered nurse with years of healthcare experience, she brings a unique, holistic perspective to counseling. Her nursing background and clinical training have deepened her understanding of the interconnectedness of physical and mental health, which led to an interest in working with clients with complex health histories, chronic pain, and chronic illness.

Kathryn specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety and depression during life transitions, as well as those healing from trauma. Her areas of focus include medical trauma, sexual trauma, religious trauma, and adverse childhood experiences. Kathryn also enjoys working with individuals in helping professions who may feel overwhelmed, burned out, or disconnected from themselves while caring for others. She is training directly under Katy Hurst, LPC-MHSP to pursue an interest in working with autistic and ADHD clients.

Trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR, Kathryn incorporates a person-centered, trauma-informed, and research-backed approach grounded in empathy and a deep respect for each person's unique story. She believes everyone is the expert of their own life, and her role is to walk alongside clients as they explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Kathryn enjoys working with LGBTQ+ clients and is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all cultural backgrounds.

Outside of her work, Kathryn enjoys spending time with friends and family, diving into multiple books at once, and taking long walks in nature.
